Hello and a very warm welcome back. We are going to do a review of ClickBank’s training program called Spark. Is it great training and worth our time and money?
This is not the first training course that ClickBank has made. In fact, it is the 3rd one. Why get rid of the other 2?
why not just update them? were they that bad?
Those were questions that sprang to mind when I discovered this was training course number 3.
The ClickBank website says that it has gotten together a group of experts in affiliate marketing to come up with this new training course.
The object was to create a more straightforward course than the other 2 courses.
Based on ClickBank being an industry leader with affiliate marketing you would assume the training will be very informative?
Let us dive in and find out more:
Just before we do I have to say that I’m not affiliated or associated with ClickBank in any way.
I appreciate you being here and doing your due diligence before spending your cash it shows that you have a lot of sense.
This post may contain Affiliate Links. This means if you click through and make a purchase I will receive a commission. The price you pay will not be affected.

What Can You Learn From Spark By ClickBank?
Spark by Clickbank is their new training course and it has 70 videos that are divided into 17 individual sections to teach people how to use the ClickBank platform as well as becoming Affiliate Marketers.
Let’s cover the 17 courses:
Course #1 is called First Steps,
This is just a basic introduction to the course and what information it is going to give you.
Course #2 is called Internet Marketing 101,
This course will cover what affiliate marketing is and how it works.
The first part of the course will cover the different aspects of internet marketing like performance marketing and direct response marketing.
The second half is more geared to affiliate marketing.
In this section you’ll also get to learn about industry jargons:
- How to check Analytics
- Click-through rates (CTR’s)
- What Open rates are
- Pay-per-click (PPC)
- Paid searches
- Organic searches
- Email marketing
Course #3 is called How ClickBank Fits In,
One video explaining how ClickBank fits in with your Affiliate Marketing strategy.
Course #4 is called Product Owners,
in this section, you can learn how to make your own products so that you keep 100% of the sale.
Course #5 is called Affiliate Marketing,
learning the do’s and don’ts of affiliate marketing, it’s a bit repetitive as this is covered in course 2?
Course #6 is called Direct Response Psychology,
there are 3 steps here:
- Identify the problem
- Agitate it
- Offer the solution
Not exactly rocket science, just basic common sense!
Course #7 is called Compliance,
just one video here covering all of the pages and steps you need to stay compliant with different laws.
Course #8 is called What Makes An Online Offer,
this section has 10 videos that cover everything you will need to fit into place in order to make an effective online. (by far the best part of the whole course)
Course #9 is called Content Types,
These 8 videos will cover different content types:
1. Long-form content
2. Case studies
4. White papers
7. Video content
8. Template checklists
all very basic!
Course #10 is called The Tools Of Digital Marketing,
there are certain tools that all Affiliate Marketers need, autoresponders, graphic creation tools, landing page builders, and the ability to track clicks.
Course #11 is called Outsourcing,
just one short video with links to sites where you can hire writers. I believe you need to write your own content, especially in the beginning.
How can you explain what you want to be written if you don’t really know yourself?
Course #12 is called Memberships and subscriptions
, how to host and price a membership site in 1, 6-minute video.
Course #13 is called Affiliate Quick Start Part 1,
This section is about what a ClickBank affiliate actually is, and how to go about selecting a niche (subject) and how to select the products that you’re going to market.
Course #14 is called Affiliate Quick Start Part 2,
This part has four small videos on: ‘What is an email list’, ‘How to Build a Lead Magnet and Opt-In Form’, ‘Choosing an Email Autoresponder’ and ‘Free Traffic’.
It just really covers things you have completed in other sections, nothing new here.
Course #15 is called Creating Your First Ad,
This part covers paid ads in-depth and is in direct contrast with the rest of the training.
Everything previous to this part is for absolute beginners, this is for far more advanced marketers. If I was just starting out again there’s no way I would recommend doing paid ads.
Here in this part of the course, they should be teaching about SEO.
Course #16 is called Digital Product QuickStart Part 1,
the 3 videos will explain:
- How to use the ClickBank Marketplace
- How to go about choosing your first product
- How to create your first product and how to price it
Basically a rehash of #13.
Last Course #17 is called Digital Product QuickStart Part 2,
Here you will cover:
- Creating your sales and thank you page
- Launching on the ClickBank platform
- How to use upsells effectively
- Using the ClickBank affiliate network
They also have a community that you are invited to join full of newbies who don’t really know what they are doing.
Pros Of Spark By ClickBank
I liked the vendor’s section because there is not really very much training on how to create your own products.
If you are thinking of promoting products that are on Clickbank then this will show you the basics.
Cons Of Spark By ClickBank
70 videos that are only a few minutes long and 1 that’s 10 minutes, not long enough to learn much at all.
The best part of the training is the paid ads section which is really in-depth, not suitable for beginners.
It’s misleading about just how difficult and time-consuming it is to make affiliate marketing work, especially in the beginning.
The community is filled with novices that you won’t learn anything from.
Billed as new training but really an updated version of the old training.
In my opinion not worth the money.
Why I would Choose Wealthy Affiliate Training Over Spark By ClickBank Training
To be an effective affiliate marketer you really need to have a blog and the ClickBank training doesn’t show you how to build a website whereas Wealthy Affiliate shows you in-depth.
I don’t care what anyone says SEO is very important if you want your blog to be found by the search engines and that is far more important to learn.
Lots of people use paid ads and that’s okay if you have experience it’s not really for newbies and that’s what Spark will teach you.
That’s just throwing money away needlessly!
Wealthy Affiliate has a community of over 1 million and yes there are new people joining every day that don’t have a clue, but, there are thousands who are very experienced that you can ask for help and they will give it willingly.
You can even speak to the CEOs in the live chat!
Is Spark a Scam?
In my opinion no it isn’t a scam. it’s a course with lessons that don’t go into enough detail for you to really learn anything from.
If you were thinking of launching your own products then it could be useful in some respects, But, if you want to learn about Affiliate Marketing it won’t help you.
I can’t recommend it as value for money because it’s too generic and you can get a lot of the information from Youtube for free.
