JustAnswer is a site where you can go onto it pay $5 and get an answer to any question from an expert who then gets paid a portion of the money you have paid.
This sounds like a good business model and maybe a great way for you to get paid for your knowledge as a side hustle for extra cash.
After diving deeper into this I have found that all is not exactly what it seems to be!

JustAnswer is a platform that has doctors, lawyers, mechanics, vets, and IT Experts that can answer your questions. which all sounds good for $5.00.
Unfortunately, that is not where things end.
You sign up for a months trial and then you get charged every month thereafter.
When you contact customer support you are told there are no refunds and you should have read the small print.
They say you have 7 days to cancel and you are reminded of this by email. Tons of customer complaints say they never received any such email.

How Does JustAnswer Work?
First of all, you need to create an account by filling in this form:
Once that has been filled in you have to verify the email address then you can ask your question in the box provided.
The site is easy to navigate.
They have over 175 fields of expertise that cover information on taxes, financial matters, Psychologists, Vets, you can even have your Tarot cards read!
After asking the question you get charged between $1.00 and $5.00 depending on the expert question that has been asked.
Sounds okay so far, doesn’t it?
How The Experts Sign Up And Get Paid?
To sign up as an expert on JustAnswer you need to complete an online form that takes 30 minutes to complete.
They even want your social security number! What do they need that for?
A recent photo of yourself and proof of your qualifications in your field of expertise.
You will get paid after you have answered the question posed to you but only if they leave you a good review.
If they don’t leave a review at all you don’t get paid!
Even if you do get paid it will only be a fee of 20%.
Once you have x amount of good reviews from clients you could get paid as much as 50% ( don’t spend all $2.50 at once will you!)
All of the rest of the money is kept by the company.
They claim you can make $1,000 a month but I cannot see how unless you spend 24 hours a day on the platform!
Is JustAnswer A Scam?
Just answer does provide answers to your questions so in that respect it is not a scam.
BUT. Where this platform falls down is in the fact that you have to pay a monthly fee.
What are you paying that money for? If you only ask 1 question why should you pay a monthly fee?
The fee can range from $30-$60 per month depending on the expert advice you need.
Lots of people will think that is a good price for say advice from a lawyer however if you need a quick answer to a simple question that would be expensive!
What I Like About JustAnswer The Pros

- The website is very easy to use and navigate
- The low payout request is only $25.00. Paid to Paypal.
What I Don’t Like About JustAnswer The Cons
- If you live outside of the USA or Canada it can take more than 30 days to get approved as an expert.
- You cannot earn a full-time income from this because the commission rates are ridiculous. Can you imagine being a doctor and getting paid $2.50?.
- When you signup for the free trial it automatically enrols you into a recurring fee and this is not very well explained and it catches lots of people out. Once it is discovered you cannot get the money back.
- The customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
A Better Way To Make Money
You are definitely not going to earn your fortune with this website as an expert.
If you go on there to get your question answered be prepared to pay a lot more money than you think you are going to!
That recurring fee catches most people out so please beware of it.
There are also over 233 complaints about JustAnswer on the Better Business Bureau website. They are mainly about the recurring fee and not getting their money back!
