I think most of us already have Twitter. It’s one of the biggest social media platforms that people use all day every day. And for many blogging niches as well.
Even though sometimes you can see a lot of news stories on there it also has whatever niche you have. You can join the blogging community on Twitter as well. I’m going to talk more about that in a bit.
Twitter is one of the platforms that you can have a variety of audiences and niches. It should be one of the main platforms you focus on because you can get tons of traffic from it, in my opinion. And that’s what I’m going to talk about in this “How to increase traffic from Twitter to your blog” post.
How can you get the most of Twitter if you don’t get a lot of engagement?
If you are already getting traffic from Twitter, I’m sure these tips will help you to get even more traffic. And also will get you more followers as well. However, it might take time for it to be in full effect because you need to build it up slowly and keep it going.
Every social media has a different algorithm. As for how engagement and stats work. Twitter, the more your tweet gets engagement, the better stats you will get and the more exposure you will get. So, if your tweet gets á few likes or comments, there is a high chance it will get more and more.
It’s not just a place where you get traffic but also friends. You can build friendships on Twitter and meet brands easily. Also, build a loyal audience which is something cool because they will support you no matter what. It’s easy to connect with them as well.
However, this post is about How to increase traffic from Twitter to your blog. But you will be able to achieve these as you keep working and following these tips. I’m sure that a lot of people are going to follow you and support whatever you are working on and your content.
Here are some tips that will help you if you are a blogger and own a business. It will help you to build a good marketing plan.
1-Engage back
Something that helps you to grow your audience and not only that but builds a loyal audience. Make sure that you reply to their comments and what they say. When you do that on Twitter, it will help you to get more exposure and that will grow your audience.
It’s awesome to stay engaged with your followers on Twitter and maybe make a conversation with them. Well, it can’t be a long one. Just a couple of replies that may be valuable to them. You will get much respect and they will support you more and more. Also, that could be a good way on how to increase traffic from Twitter.
The more engaging tweets you get, the more Twitter shows your tweets to your followers. And when you tweet a blog post. Well, they would see it and engage with it as well. That means clicking on that post link and perhaps like the content which then leads to more interest in what you post.
Sometimes we tend to just like their replies and that might not be enough. You need to reply to them and let them know that you respect them and appreciate their engagement. Because they are not a robot who is engaging with your tweets, and we need to engage back with them.
Also, another one on how to increase traffic from Twitter is that you need to engage with other bloggers as well. That will help to grow your audience too. When you engage with others, it means getting more exposure to more people, and they might be interested in your content and follow you.
2. Tweet At Least 10 Blog Post Tweets
As you keep the engagement with your followers. You need to post at least 10 blog post tweets a day. This might sound like a lot of tweets but it’s not. There are a lot of tweets and links tweeted a day and possibly a couple of the 10 will make it to your followers feed. And then they can see it.
Keep posting it daily at a good time for your followers to have a chance to see it. If your posts are random, it will have less chance to get engagement because possibly the audience is not browsing. So make sure you pick the optimized time. It matters a lot when you tweet your blog posts.
Also, you don’t just tweet blog posts. There should also be nonblog post tweets. Updates or just random tweets. Because it’s not guaranteed that tweets with links will get tons of engagement. So, you need to tweet random tweets as well.
The better tweets, the more engagement you would get. so try to mix it with the links tweet. And when someone just clicks like your links tweet, it will have a high chance to appear on more people’s feeds which means more traffic.
I recommend when you tweet the links tweets. Add a good paragraph that could grab your followers attention. That will help more to get traffic. At least it will have more chance of getting people to check your content than just putting links on the tweet. It’s a good step on how to increase traffic from Twitter.
3-Participate in Twitter blogger communities
A great way on how to increase traffic from Twitter is by joining the blogging communities. There are accounts that host threads for all bloggers to share their links. You can find a lot of supportive bloggers and people who are going to check your content.
Also, make sure to support other people and they will reciprocate as well. It’s just a positive and good place to share your content and get more traffic. Try to be engaged on the threads as well. That will help you to appear on other’s feeds and might get you more followers.
It’s one of my favourite places to engage with other bloggers. Also, get new blog posts to read as well. It’s not just about supporting your content. But also checking new blog post ideas and content to read. Commenting on blog posts also can be a way to increase your traffic. Another way how to increase traffic from Twitter but not directly from it haha.
These accounts also offer hashtags that you can use for a free retweet to your blog post tweets. There are a lot of bloggers using this method.
I’ve used it as well and it helps a lot. And I appreciate those people who do that for other people in the blogging community.
