Hello, and a very warm welcome to my Norwex MLM Review.
This company makes anti-bacterial cleaning cloths that are made with Micro Fiber as well as mops and other cleaning products.
It costs $9.99 for a starter kit but that has conditions attached which we will get into shortly.
This post will cover if this company is worth joining, how it works, exactly how much it costs, the compensation plan, who this is for and if it is a pyramid scheme and much more.

Is It Recommended? Yes and NO.
Personally, I’m not a fan of MLM companies but that does not mean they don’t work for some individuals.
It’s just the other thousands that don’t make any money that I don’t agree with. Only 2% make any real money.
There are some good reviews about Norwex which we will get onto and some terrible reviews as well.
This business is totally up to the individual to make it work. I report the facts and then it is all up to you!
If you want a simple business model then I would not choose Norwex.
About The Founder Of Norwex?
Before joining any kind of business you should find out who you will be working for!
In this case, his name is Bjorn Nicholaisen and he comes from Austria.
The only place I can find this man is on LinkedIn he has no other social media and there is no information about him on their website.
Just his name and the above image.
The company has been around since 1994 and started out in Norway.
1999 Eidsvoll Miljøprodukter opens Norwex Enviro Products In Canada.
2004 Norwex Baltic is opened in Riga, Latvia.
2008 Norwex Australia officially opens.
2009 Norwex opens its own production facility in China.
2010 Expansion in Canada.
2011 Opens up in the USA.
2015 It opens in New Zealand.
2016 Expansion into Sweden.
Still going strong today. (this is a statement, not an endorsement)
What Does Norwex Sell?
There are a ton of products so I’m just going to give you an overview of some from different categories.
Microfibre products: There are 103 in total including cleaning Cloths, Masks, Towels, mops, pet mitts, baby bibs, bath sponges, and Body scrub mitts.
Household Includes. Laundry detergent, stain remover, descaler, toilet spray, Hand wash, Brushes, Oven cleaner, Carpet stain remover, and odour eliminator.
Sustainable: Shopping bags, chopping boards, silicon cup lids, stainless steel straws, beach towels, and reusable produce bags.
Personal Care. Shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion, night cream, eye cream, lip balm, mouth wash, toothbrushes, deodorant, and body and face towels.
Family. Baby’s bath brush, baby body cloth, 4-in-1 kids wash, pet towel, and various car cloths.
The company’s aim is to reduce chemicals in homes in order to improve the quality of people’s lives.
What Makes Norwex Products Different?
Any company can sell cloths so what makes these different is microfibre and the ability to clean without using chemicals.
The microfiber from Norwex is 1/200th the size of a human hair compared to most cloths that are 1/6th this makes it a better cleaning tool because of the density.
They also have back lock technology that has a micro silver antibacterial agent to help self purify the wet cloth while it dries so it doesn’t go mouldy and smell.
The cloth can be used many times dry or damp before washing it.
The only exception would be using it to clean up something like meat juices then you should wash it with hot water or on a 40-degree wash in the machine.

Why Are Norwex Products So Expensive?
The products from Norwex are expensive because it is an MLM company with a compensation plan.
And this means you not only have to sell the products but you need to get others to join as well.
How Norwex works:
You are actively encouraged to hold “Home Parties” in order to sell the products to your friends and family.
As a host, you’re given a discount based on how many items people buy.
You can also qualify for some free gifts depending on how many products your participants purchase.
A commission will be paid to the Norwex representative who presented the product.
The Norwex agent who recruited the presenter also receives a commission, as does the Norwex agent who recruited them, and so on down the 5 levels.
Or you can have a replica website.
How Much It Costs To Join Norwex
To get a free Starter Kit for $9.99 which includes everything you need to start a business, new consultants pay only for shipping.
If they are able to sell $2,000 in Norwex products in the first three months, the Starter Kit remains free.
This is in addition to the hundreds of dollars worth of free products that can be earned as rewards for sales, party bookings and recruitment as well as a generous consultant discount of 35%.
If after 90 days, a new consultant has not achieved $2,000 in sales, the consultant can purchase the Starter Kit for $200.
You don’t need to buy the items yourself they can be ordered directly from Norwex.
You’ll need to personally sell $250 – $1000 (depending on your own rank) worth of Norwex products per month to qualify for commissions through the retail sales of your downline.
If you don’t you will lose all and any commissions earned through your downline sales.
(The figures above apply after earning the required quota for the starter kit).
If you aren’t able to do that, you can renew your consultant status for $20.
You are also able to buy these builder packages that contain additional products:
- Silver Kit Builder Package: $150.63 one-time fee.

Can You get Norwex items elsewhere? Yes, they are available from Amazon. (Just ensure they have the Norwex label in the corner)
Who Is Norwex Recommended For?
I recommend this company to people who have a strong sales background.
If you are able to recruit others to join then you can go far at Norwex.
Don’t have these skills then you may have a great deal of difficulty earning a full-time income.
An easier way to make money online and has a trial period.
Is Norwex A Scam?
No. Norwex is not s scam.
This company has been around for many years and it pays one of the highest commission rates at 35%.
Norwex is also not a ” Pyramid Scheme“. This is depicted by the fact that you can make money without having to recruit.
What I Like About Norwex?
- They have been around for over 2 decades
- Have a Better Business Bureau rating of A+ in the USA
- Pay a high rate of commission
- The main focus is on selling the products and making the environment a better place by people using fewer chemicals in their homes.
- Money-back guarantee on products within 60 days
- 2-year warranty on microfibre products
What I Don’t Like About Norwex?
- The products are very expensive who is really going to pay $18.99 for a cleaning cloth?
- Hard to recruit and make a good living from
- No income disclosure statement has been published. That is disappointing as it makes it hard to know if people are really earning anything.
- Holding home parties is an outdated method that was popular in the 80′ and 90s but not so much today.
- The Compensation Plan is very complicated. Do You know what any of this means?: A host program, a fresh start program, a sales plan, qualified recruits, different percentages, monthly qualifications.
What Do Users Of Norwex Products Say?
Looking around for answers to this question produced as expected some negative and some positive opinions.
To not be biased here are 2 of each opinion:
Here are 2 positive reviews:
Would I Join This MLM Company?
No. I have been involved with a couple of MLM companies and they are all basically the same.
Either hold home events where you need to provide the food and drinks or use a website where you have to pay a monthly fee of $9.99 or $11.99.
(most companies don’t explain these fees)
Parties are very old hat and getting traffic to the website is very hard to do unless you get very good training.
During my research for this post, I could not find any evidence of any training. (That may not mean there aren’t any, just I couldn’t access any).
Another thing that bothers me about Norwex is after some research it appears that the micro silver in the cloth does not kill bacteria in any way.
It just helps to prevent bacterial odour, mould, and mildew from growing within the cloth itself.
A Better Alternative
If you want to build an online business the last thing I would ever recommend is an MLM company.
You look up stats for the amount of money people earn in this business type it makes for very dismal reading.
Here is an independent report that was carried out on 350 leading MLM companies and most people ended up with a deficit as opposed to a profit.
Let me introduce to you a better alternative that has enabled me to make a full-time passive income.
The affiliate marketing model is the easiest way to make money online.
Most importantly, it’s 100% legit and sustainable my #1 recommendation comes with coaching, training, hosting and much much more.
Take it for a test drive what have you got to lose?
Thanks for staying to the end.
Have a question leave it in the comments and I will gladly get back to you.
Lisa. Founder and CEO of mistakesbloggersmake.com
Actually I just heard about this Norwex MLM today. I was the first to get involved in something like this and wasted a lot of my money. So I do not really believe in this MLM at all. Although I can make money from them, I do not recommend it to anyone. Because a lot of them are scams. If someone asks me how I make money, I say affiliate marketing. Because I also made money easily. Thank you so much for reviewing like this. Keep posting like this.
MLMs are extremely hard to make money from because you have to recruit as well as sell the products.
Not many people possess these skills and they are not taught by the multilevel marketing companies which compound the issue of difficulty.
Affiliate Marketing training is plentiful, and easier to learn and earn from.
Thanks for the comment.
Have a great week.
Lisa 🙂
I just heard about this Norvex MLM today.MLM I don’t like because I don’t understand their way of earning.I think it’s a lot of scams. Norvex requires a lot of investment in the beginning, I don’t like it. I certainly wouldn’t do that. There are safer ways to make money. Thank you for the review. All the best
Making money with an MLM company is very hard to do.
Training, recruiting and selling are not for everyone.
Have a great week.
