5 Awesome Tips To Stop You From Giving Up On Your Blog

Hello, and a very welcome back, have you been told by many people Don’t Give Up On Your Blog, you have worked so hard for many months or even years, why do you want to throw it all away?

The answer could be something simple is missing from your writing or it could be a lack of actual success.

You have been writing for 6 months and you haven’t made any money yet. However, it could all change today!

The advice being offered to you is well-intentioned but it will take more than those few words to make a difference. Won’t it?

We need to change how we view the situation for ourselves, we need to create new visions and processes to keep us going.

Let us look at how we can make this achievable:

Promise Yourself You Will Never Give Up

Please believe me when I say I know it’s not that simple. I have been exactly where you are now!

One way That has helped me is to have a vision board with everything attached to it that I want to achieve and to be actively seeing it being ticked off every day.

Write down How you wish to help people and how much money you want to earn either on a weekly basis, monthly basis or a yearly one.

it’s not good to just say I want loads of Money or to help lots of people. That won’t cut it!

Go on write down a figure, say $5,000 a month or $100,000 a year.

There are no right or wrong answers here only your answer.

Have you heard of Napolean Hill, the author of “Think and Grow Rich”? if you haven’t and you want success online I highly recommend you to read this book.

I have read it at least 20 times because it is a brilliant way of changing your mindset.

In one chapter he advises this for you:

“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”  No truer words have ever been spoken. I’m hoping the advice above makes more sense to you now.

We Need To Exercise Discipline To Succeed

don't give up on your blog

A very disciplined man called David Goggins,

says “Do something that sucks every day.” This is what is meant by that :

Discipline and motivation are not the same things, Motivation can come and go rapidly depending on the mood of the day.

My husband works better at 9 am and that’s when he is highly motivated, I’m not a morning person so the motivation levels for me are in the afternoon/evening.

What time do you feel the most motivated?

Discipline on the other hand takes much practice and it means getting things done when you don’t feel in the mood.

You need to train your mind and body to a state where nothing is too much for you to do.

It becomes a reflex that you practice every day, like training for a marathon.

Once the process has started it’s not something you are going to willingly give up on.

One way to get to this point is to do the things that take you out of your comfort zone over and over again.

Be Held Accountable

This step is Massive, Telling people what you have in mind and asking them to keep you on track is a sure-fire way to not Fail.

You need to seek out people who will demand a certain level of performance from you.

The way I tackled this step was to ask people in the Wealthy Affiliate Community, they are all bloggers themselves and know how tough it can be to stay the course.

They are going through the exact steps that you are at varying different speeds due to their work lives.

I chose people who would give honest feedback on the articles written, how the website layout looked, and I also shared with them my step by step goals for each week.

We all reviewed each other’s work and kept everyone on the path they had set out for themselves.

Another plus of taking this course of action is the super affiliates in the community, who went through the same training and are a testament that the program works, when you sign up you get access to them and they are extremely helpful people who will give you honest and practical advice that will challenge you to success.

Keep Your Why At The Forefront of Your Mind

Do Your friends and family ask you why you stay up late or get up earlier to be a part of affiliate marketing?

Doesn’t it cause you undue stress?

However, you answer that question in the first few seconds will be the deciding factor for you.

Do you 1, think they are right and question your own intentions or

 2. With a huge grin look at the person and say every hour that I work at this takes me that one step closer to being able to retire my husband and myself from working a Job.

(you substitute that for your own goals)

If your vision is to have a massive house and lots of fancy cars, be aware that you might not get what you are seeking.

People who focus on Materialistic things quite often don’t put in the required effort to become a success.

That begs the question of where your focus should be aimed? that my friend is not my place to advise.

Maybe you have children that you want to put through College or University.

You may wish to move to another warmer country like I did when I left the UK 11 years ago and moved to Sunny Tenerife.

Whatever your dreams are hold them with both hands and visualize them happening every day, that way you will do the hard graft required to attain them.

Failure Along The Way Is Inevitable

Failure is a process of learning how to be an Affiliate Marketer and believe me, you will fail many times before you succeed.

It doesn’t matter how clever you are take it from me it will happen.

Because I’m very motivated to succeed when I first failed It hurt real bad and set me back in the progress set out and cost quite a bit of wasted time.

Many around me assumed wrongly that I would give up each time It occurred, Instead, it spurred me on even more to reach the desired success.

I don’t recommend changing your timetable when failure happens for the simple reason when you relax and become comfortable then you tend to be less disciplined.

You also need to think of failure as a way of achieving more and learning from it.

Welcome failure instead of being frightened of it.

What are your thoughts and feelings now you have nearly reached the end?

Are you going to find solid and reliable people to hold you accountable?

Are you going to move forward with purpose or are you taking the easy option to Quit? You can leave answers to these questions in the comments.

My Final Thoughts

One of the biggest challenges I faced was when to do things in the day.

After speaking to many other bloggers they all had the same answer. ” Do the thing you most hate to do first” The reason for this is because:

  • It makes you feel accomplished and successful
  • Doing it first means it gets done every time and not put off for days on end
  • The rest of the day flows better with more enjoyable tasks

After working on my blog for just 10 months I was able to quit my job. This was achieved by setting specific goals and sticking to them.

We all have choices, I hope this article spurs you on to make a great one.

  3. Thank you, Lisa. After several months and effort, blogging has placed food on my table. Sometimes, it makes me feel anxious because of the bills and credits to pay. I will not give up blogging, of course. I have to find work online that lets me pay the bill every payday.

  6. Hi Lisa

    What an awesome blog!

Filled with real encouragement.  You are authentic as you have travelled the path.

Blogging is not easy and although time consuming the possibilities are endless.  I like your  tips.

Its hard to promise that you will never give up.  Discipline is an important attribute for ourselves.

Its good to be accountable to someone who cares.  To remember why we are doing something and forgiving ourselves for falling and failing.

great advice to start with the things we don’t like each day so that we feel fulfilled and excited for the rest of the day.

    All the best

  7. Hi Lisa, thank you for this post, I needed it. It is a helpful and encouraging guide to not give up. Many times I feel disappointed, and many other times I continue to say to myself to continue my job in writing and sharing what I have in helping other people with my blog topics. I have a toddler daughter, and she is my priority dedicating most of the time to her. I try to write when she sleep or in the late afternoon and evening. I agree that discipline is one of the most significant keys to having success. Thank you for sharing your tips and for your recommendation of the Napoleon Hill, book. I heard about this book from other people, and after reading your article, I’m going to buy it and read it carefully to learn more about how to change my mindset.

    Have a great day
